MARIPOSA LODGE COVID-19 POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

Our daily routines and procedures look a little differently now and we want to walk you through a few changes.  

BREAKFAST

We will start with the question we know you came here for...yes!  We are able to still provide you with our made from scratch, locally sourced breakfast each morning you that stay with us though at this time we are unable to offer the same breakfast service we previously offered.  To reduce exposure risks, we are unable to be there in person to serve you your breakfast.  We will be on-site between 6:45a-7:45a brewing our delicious Steamboat Coffee Company coffee and preparing your breakfast.  Between 7:45am and 8:00am, we will wrap your breakfast in tin foil, mark it with your room name and leave it out in the kitchen for you to enjoy.  You are welcome to enjoy your breakfast in the kitchen or in our sunroom and ask if you choose to eat it in your room to be mindful to not spill or make messes in the beds.  Thank you!

Masks + CLEANING

Our warm welcome of a handshake or a hug will be (temporarily!) retired, but do know we are smiling ear to ear behind our mask.  Speaking of masks, to comply with local public health orders, you must wear one when congregating in the common areas of the lodge (living room, sunroom, and kitchen if not seated for breakfast).  This is for your safety and the safety of our other guests and employees.  If you do not have a mask with you, don’t fret!  Let us know and we are more than happy to supply you with one.  Prior to Covid-19, we were able to freshen up your room while you were out exploring our beautiful town, but sadly we will not be able to offer mid-stay cleaning at this time.  However, we will use that time to clean every surface in our common areas daily from light switches to doorknobs to the handle of the microwave.  We pride ourselves on our high level of cleanliness and have doubled up on our cleaning products and procedures to ensure each room is fully sanitized between our guest’s stays.  We have removed all of our decorative throw pillows and blankets from each room and common areas This was particularly hard for us as nearly all of our throw pillows, throws, and extra quilts were handmade, but again, your safety is our top priority!  (For peace of mind, know that we are also washing and disinfecting every quilt + blanket between each stay, but that is nothing new.)  

Non-registered guests + misc.

If you happen to be in town visiting friends or family, unfortunately during this time we are unable to allow anyone inside the lodge who is not a registered guest of ours.  You are welcome to safely sit with them outside of the Mariposa on our front porch.  We ask that you do not enter any of the other guest rooms other than the one you have reserved and are staying in.  And finally, we ask that you do not use our kitchen for personal cooking.  You are still able to use our drinking glasses, silverware, and store items in our fridge, but using our oven + stovetop is prohibited.
